Welcome

Still wondering about us? No surprise.

As the “new kids” on the block in Portland, you may be wondering just what The Gathering is all about. With so many changes in our culture, and with its effects on the culture of the community of Christian believers, we understand that you may have some questions… probably a lot of questions!

We gather in two ways right now. You can visit us at (our Sunday meeting and time ) and ask anyone there about us or visit one of our community groups (see list and meeting times). But in the meantime, who are we and where are we going? Well, perhaps this list of our friends, or rather our acquaintances — we really like these people and what they are saying and doing — will help you get some idea of the direction we will take in the future. As the website grows we will continue to fill you in… In the meantime, know this: we will be holding fast to the core (The glory and beauty of Jesus Christ; aka The Gospel) and experimenting like crazy with the rest….
